We want to get married – what’s involved?
I offer an obligation free meeting and this is a chance for you to discuss your ideas for your ceremony, get to know each other a little, and decide if I’m the right celebrant for you. We can pencil in a date; you are free to go away, have a chat about it and decide if you would like to engage my services.
Once you have decided it’s a “Yes!” we’ll arrange another meeting to begin the necessary paperwork. I will need to sight your identification documents (driver’s licence, birth certificate and/or Passport) and we’ll complete the ‘Notice of Intended Marriage’. At this point a booking fee of $250 is required. Please note that booking fees are not refundable unless I cannot perform the ceremony due to serious illness or similar circumstances and have to transfer you to another celebrant. *(my Service Agreement will explain in more detail). Typically, a wedding takes up to 20 hours of my time. Your deposit secures me exclusively as your celebrant, and I can begin preparing paperwork and crafting the first draft of your ceremony.
